My advise to you is do not choose to have a video hearing in your Social Security Disability case. If you choose a video hearing the Judge will be on video and you will be on video to the Judge. You will not be in the same room, you will not be in the same town, you may not be in the same State.
Here at Berger and Green we think it is very important for the Social Security claimant and the Judge, that is deciding the case, to be in the same room together so that they can have a conversation about your disability. You can answer the Judge’s questions, there are no glitches in whether the equipment is functioning or not and this is a very important moment in your life.
This is your Social Security Disability hearing and you probably have not been working for a long time. There’s a lot riding on this hearing and at Berger and Green we think it’s important that the Judge and the person that is claiming Social Security Disability be in the same room at the hearing.
