Two-year-old child killed by dog in West Mifflin

On Sunday night, just after 8 p.m., a two-year-old was mauled by a pit bull. The attack happened in a home in West Mifflin. After the pit bull bit the young girl, she was taken to Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She later died at the hospital because of her injuries. On Tuesday, a head-on collision occurred on New England Road in West Mifflin around 7 p.m. The road is narrow, has two lanes and is about a half of a mile north of Route 837. Keurig has recalled their MINI Plus Brewing Systems because of a burning hazard. The model being recalled is the single-serve hot beverage brewer with three cup size brewing options.
