Motorcyclist Killed after a Van Runs a Red Light.

Motorcyclist Killed after a Van Runs a Red Light.

Motorcyclist Killed

Motorcycle Accidents

A motorcycle collision on Honey Hole Road in Butler Township, has left one man dead.  According to police, the accident occurred just before 1 p.m. A preliminary investigation shows that a van ran a red light and crashed into the motorcyclist.  The victim died due to the extent of his injuries.  It is not certain why the at fault driver ran the red light.  A full investigation into the accident is still ongoing.

When an accident occurs between a motorcycle and a vehicle, the motorcyclist is typically the one who suffers. Although this accident was not the fault of the motorcyclist, there are things every driver can do to ensure everyone’s safety on the roadway.  It is important for motorcyclists and drivers to always be alert while on the road.  If you are a motorcyclist who is driving for leisure, try to pick a day or hours that do not fall into peak rush hour.  Also, often drivers do not see motorcycles.  Motorcyclists can do their part by wearing bright colored clothing and giving themselves plenty of space when riding around motor vehicles.
