Police reported that one of the passengers in the teen’s vehicle was seriously injured after the crash and was flown to a nearby hospital by helicopter.
The driver of the vehicle suffered moderate injuries and the other three passengers were treated on the scene for minor injuries.
There is no report on the minivan’s occupants at this time.
All teens were ages 16 and 17 years old.
Summer allows teens to have more freedom including more time spent on the road. This is when parents and guardians need to enforce rules and monitor their teen’s driving time. In a previous blog post we talked about what can be done to keep our young drivers safe on the road. To read more about that post, you can visit our blog here.
We have seen multiple accidents this summer involving teens and each of those accidents were caused by one of the young drivers. Sadly, the passengers and other vehicles involved have to endure the results of these motor vehicle accidents.
