Woman mauled by dogs feared animals

The incident that resulted in the death of the 57-year-old woman occurred earlier this month. According to the police officers who first arrived at the scene, the dogs attacked the woman in the front of her yard. The fact that the woman had previously constructed a fence around her yard in an effort to protect herself did not help. The dogs were killed by the police officers.

Prior to the fatal incident, the woman had formally complained about the animals on multiple occasions.

Following the incident the owners of the dogs that attacked the woman were arrested. Though they were later released and have not been charged with any crimes, this does not mean that they will escape the court system completely.

When a life is lost unexpectedly in a manner such as this, those left behind who loved that person are often distraught. When negligence on the part of a human has something to do with the incident occurring, it is possible that they could be held responsible in a civil court. If found guilty of this they could have to pay financial damages to those who bring the personal injury lawsuit.

It is unclear whether a wrongful death lawsuit will be filed in this case. Because there is only a short amount of time in which this can be done, anyone considering doing this needs to do so in a timely manner.
