The answer is yes. However, you need to prove that your symptoms are so chronic and so severe and so functionally limiting that because of it you will be unable to work for at least a year. Crohn’s Disease is a condition that gets better and worse throughout time. So if that’s the nature of your Crohn’s Disease, it has to be so disruptive that you couldn’t be expected to work for a year. So that’s the important thing to document. How do you do that? You do that by going to your doctors and not missing any appointments and telling them what your symptoms are and what your problems are and also taking any tests that the doctors tell you to take so that they can document the severity of your condition and show that the symptoms that you’re having are congruent with having a severe problem with Crohns Disease.
