Eligible students are encouraged to apply for the Berger and Green Heart Disease Scholarship. Here are the terms and conditions.
Terms and Conditions
The Berger and Green Heart Disease Scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate college students enrolled or accepted into an accredited college or university in the U.S. For the 2020 scholarship award, applicants must be scheduled to enroll by the Spring 2020 term. The scholarship committee may ask the applicant to provide medical proof of diagnosis and updated GPA. Failure to submit proof or to comply with any of the other terms and conditions will result in disqualification.
Berger and Green will consider all complete applications we receive, but we are not responsible for any technical issues that occur during submission. After reviewing all applications and essays, our scholarship committee will select and announce a winner. The committee’s decision is final.
We respect your privacy. The personal information you provide us with is exclusively for the election of the Berger and Green Heart Disease Scholarship. We will not share, sell, or distribute any personal information you provide with your scholarship application, including but not limited to your medical information.
Note however that we will announce the scholarship winner by name on our website and other public media platforms. We may also choose to publish essays, in whole or in part. When you submit your application and essay, you agree to these terms.
Equal Opportunity Statement
Berger and Green abides by a strict non-discrimination code. We believe in equal opportunity for all applicants. Race, religion, gender, national origin, disability, sexual preference, pregnancy, and other protected categories have zero bearing on applicants’ eligibility. The scholarship committee will elect a winner solely on the basis of meeting the eligibility requirements and the quality of the essay.
