Berger and Green Supports the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s Summer Youth Café Program

At Berger and Green, giving back to the communities we serve is an important part of who we are. This summer, we were honored to support the 2026 School’s Out Radiothon with a $5,000.00 donation to benefit the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s Summer Youth Café program.

While summer break is often associated with fun, vacations, and time spent outdoors, it also brings a difficult reality for many local families. During the school year, thousands of children rely on school meal programs for consistent access to nutritious breakfasts and lunches. When school lets out, those dependable meals often disappear.

In fact, 1 in 5 children in our region lose access to two reliable meals each day once school is out for the summer. The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s Summer Youth Café works to bridge that gap by providing free, healthy meals to children and teens throughout the summer months. Last year alone, the program served more than 1.4 million meals across the region, helping ensure that children have the nourishment they need to stay healthy, active, and ready to learn when they return to school.

The School’s Out Radiothon brings together local businesses, organizations, and community members to raise awareness and critical funding for this life-changing program. Every donation makes a difference. In fact, every $25 donated helps provide approximately 75 nutritious meals for children in need.

We are proud to stand alongside other community partners in supporting this important initiative. Our $5,000.00 contribution reflects our ongoing commitment to helping families throughout Western Pennsylvania, not only through legal advocacy but also through meaningful community involvement. Supporting organizations like the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank allows us to make a positive impact beyond the courtroom and invest in the well-being of our neighbors.

No child should have to worry about where their next meal will come from simply because school is on summer break. Programs like Summer Youth Café help ensure children can focus on being children while receiving the nutrition they need to grow and thrive.
