Berger and Green Names Anthony Collins 2025 High School Hoops Scholar Athlete of the Year

This year, we are proud to recognize Anthony Collins as the 2025 High School Hoops Berger and Green Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Academic and Athletic Excellence

A senior at Penn Hills High School, Collins has demonstrated remarkable dedication to both academics and athletics. He maintains an impressive 4.4 GPA, showing a strong commitment to academic success while balancing the responsibilities of competitive sports.

Collins is also a multi-sport athlete, serving as captain of the school’s soccer, swimming, and volleyball teams. His leadership and work ethic have made him a role model for teammates and fellow students alike.

Leadership and Community Involvement

In addition to his achievements in the classroom and on the field, Collins is actively involved in leadership and community service.

He serves as President of the Student Council and regularly volunteers his time helping others. His community efforts include:

• Teaching swimming lessons
• Coaching youth flag football
• Volunteering at a local food bank

These activities reflect Collins’ commitment to giving back and making a positive difference in his community.

A Well-Deserved Scholarship

As the 2025 Berger and Green High School Hoops Scholar Athlete of the Year, Collins received a $3,000 scholarship to support his college education. The award recognizes his outstanding accomplishments and the values he represents as a student-athlete and community leader.
