Cindy Berger now president of national disability lawyer organization

Berger to serve as leader of the of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives

Cindy Berger of the firm Berger and Green was elected president of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives. NOSSCR is the largest organization of attorneys advocating for the rights of claimants trying to receive Social Security Disability benefits.

Ms. Berger has been a leader for NOSSCR as it works with Congress to resolve the current backlog of appeals as well as deal with issues that impact the disability determination and adjudication process.

She is nationally known for her expertise in Social Security law and is often called upon to lecture to other attorneys, physicians, and disabled individuals. Berger said, “I am looking forward to speaking for attorneys and non-attorney representatives throughout the country and helping our legislators understand that Social Security Disability is an issue that transcends party lines. Disabled claimants need the best possible representation as well as a Congress that understands their needs. I look forward to helping them during the coming year.”
