Purina has recalled their Muse cat food due to a rubber contamination.
The product may contain yellow pieces of rubber with blue backing, according to the company.
If consumed, this poses a choking hazard for cats.
The recall was issued after several pet owners complained they found rubber in their cat’s food.
No illnesses or injuries have been reported at this time.
The recall includes: 3-ounce cans of Muse wet cat food Natural Chicken Recipe in Gravy. The cat food has a best by date of APR2020; Production code (first 8 characters) 80941162; UPC 38100 17199.
The product was sold nationwide.
