1 injured, 1 dead in Pennsylvania head-on crash

The incident occurred one afternoon earlier this month, in Robinson, Pennsylvania. Authorities indicate that the vehicle driven by the 19-year-old woman who died, struck another car head-on, after first side swiping yet a third vehicle. In addition to the death of the young woman, a 27-year-old man was taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.

At this point, it is unclear what caused the vehicle the woman was driving to strike the two other vehicles. There are multiple potential causes for such an incident. Sometimes a driver falls asleep behind the wheel or is driving despite being impaired in some way. Other times there are issues with the vehicle itself or the driver is distracted by something and takes his or her eyes off the road. In still other situations, a medical episode is to blame for the loss of control.

Whatever the cause of such an incident, in some cases it is possible that someone who is hurt as a result of head-on car accident might seek monetary damages via a personal injury lawsuit. Whether this will be the case in this instance is unclear and will likely depend upon the severity of the injuries suffered by the man who was in the vehicle struck head on.
