Born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1947, William J. Begley graduated from Penn State University with a B.A. in 1969 and received a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1973. He is licensed to practice in all Pennsylvania State and Federal Courts. Before beginning his legal career, he served in the Army National Guard as a cryptographer. He then worked as a law clerk for two Judges in the Court of Common Pleas of Mercer County. Thereafter, he joined a law firm and engaged in the general practice of law, both civil and criminal. He is a former County, Township and Municipal Solicitor. Since 1984, he has practiced in the area of Personal Injury law. He joined Berger and Green to continue his career representing the injured in Personal Injury claims as a Pennsylvania Personal Injury attorney.
Mr. Begley has lectured on the topics of Civil Litigation, Automobile Accident Law and the value of awards for Damages in Personal Injury cases for the Pennsylvania Bar Association and National Business Institute. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA), Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PaAJ), Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association (WPTLA) and the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA), where he served on the Civil Rules Committee, Public Relations Committee, and Continuing Legal Education Committee. He is a Fellow of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation. Mr. Begley has joined a distinguished group of attorneys as a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a small group of attorneys throughout the United States who have successfully pursued awards in the amount of one million dollars or more for their clients.
