Linell Lee was born in Terre Haute, Indiana in 1963, and is a 1987 graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. After college, Ms. Lee taught middle school English and speech classes before moving to Washington, D.C., where she worked as a congressional legislative assistant and speechwriter. Ms. Lee's congressional legislative duties concentrated in the areas of Social Security, health care, education, and women's issues. Ms. Lee came to the Pittsburgh area in 1990 to attend the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, graduating in 1993. During law school, Ms. Lee was awarded a PLISF scholarship for a summer internship in the Juneau Public Defender's Office in Juneau, Alaska. She also interned for the Federal Public Defender of the Western District of Pennsylvania and worked as a law clerk in the Allegheny General Hospital Legal Department.

Ms. Lee began her legal career as a judicial law clerk in Armstrong County with the Honorable Kenneth Valasek and the Honorable Joseph Nickleach. Additionally, Ms. Lee taught paralegal courses at the Western School of Health and Business Careers. In 2000, Ms Lee joined the non-profit organization KidsVoice as a staff attorney. At KidsVoice, Ms. Lee represented abused and neglected children in dependency proceedings in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Family Division, Juvenile Section until 2006. From 2006 until joining Berger and Green in 2010, Ms. Lee worked a Family Law Attorney in Allegheny County representing clients in adult and juvenile Family Division court proceedings.

Ms. Lee joined Berger and Green in 2010 as a Social Security Disability attorney, representing disabled people in Western Pennsylvania in Social Security Disability (SSD) cases and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) cases.

Ms. Lee is licensed to practice in all Pennsylvania State and Federal Courts and in all Social Security Courts throughout the United States.

Ms. Lee is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR), and the Allegheny County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Social Security Practitioners Committee. Ms. Lee is committed to serving disabled individuals with compassion and respect, and to advocating on their behalf to secure benefits in their Social Security Disability cases.
